Groutville

A team from Ballito City Church spent time at a children's home in Groutville. We arrived to bare, broken ground and left with more than a building and a garden. We saw lives changed, spiritual strongholds broken and a new generation being established as a Plumb Line in the community. Here is what that took.

What we did

Altars torn down

We prayed for deliverance, casting out demons and tearing down spiritual altars. We also walked alongside people as they surrendered their lives to Jesus.

Laid a concrete slab

Mixed and barrowed on site, giving the new building a proper foundation rather than bare earth.

Painted a cabin

Painted in blue and yellow, with flowers, a welcome sign and a red cross for the blood of Jesus covering.

Planted a vegetable garden

Rows of seedlings put in by the whole team, so the home keeps eating from it long after we have gone.

Brought what was needed

Food, water, groceries, blankets, clothing and toys, collected by the church and carried down with us.

Stayed and spent time

Sat with the children, met the families, and shared about Jesus. We are walking with them in discipleship and establishing them as a Plumb Line in the Groutville area.
